Inside the Box: The SO-ARM100 Printed Parts, Piece by Piece
Hands-On · SO-ARM100
We sell this bundle, so this isn't a review — it's a contents guide. Exactly what arrives when you order the SO-ARM100 printed parts, what each set builds, what you still need from the servo kit, and how assembly goes. No surprises, before or after you buy.
25 printed pieces · Leader 13 · Follower 12 · Printed parts only
What the parts become
The finished build
One arm pair, ready for its motors
This is the SO-ARM100 the printed parts become once the servo kit goes in — the white frame is everything in the box; the motors, wiring, and gripper electronics are the parts your servo kit supplies.
How the sets are organized
Two sets: leader and follower
The 25 pieces print in two sets, following the official project specs. The leader set (13 pieces) builds the arm you move by hand; the follower set (12 pieces) builds the arm that mirrors it. Keep the sets separate when you unbox — assembly goes joint by joint, one arm at a time.
The two sets
Leader set
13 pieces
The printed frame for the leader arm — the one you hold and move during teleoperation. Its joints carry the motors you operate directly.
Follower set
12 pieces
The printed frame for the follower arm — the one that copies the leader's movements, gripper included, for pick-and-place work.
Counts are the official SO-ARM100 printed-part counts (leader 13 / follower 12), the same numbers Seeed publishes for the SO-ARM10x printed skeleton.
What you still need (not in the box)
Printed parts are half the robot. The other half is the standard LeRobot servo kit (about $200 from the usual suppliers), which carries:
· The STS3215 servos for every joint, leader and follower
· The electronics — controller board and camera
· Wires, fasteners, and fixtures the assembly calls for
If it plugs in, spins, or screws two parts together, it comes from the servo kit — not from us. Our box is the frame, all of it, and nothing else to guess about.
How assembly goes
1
Sort the two sets
Lay out leader (13) and follower (12) separately against the official LeRobot parts list. Five minutes here saves an hour later.
2
Build joint by joint
Follow the standard LeRobot assembly documentation — frame pieces and servos go together in the documented order, leader first, then follower.
3
Calibrate and teleoperate
Run the LeRobot calibration, and the follower starts mirroring the leader. The printing step never enters the picture — it was done before the box shipped.
